As the school leader, all principals want their teachers to be great teachers who are highly motivated. For an engaged teacher will always teach at his/her best, and that has tremendous impact on the children’s learning. With happy kids learning, parents will naturally be pleased. Great teachers thus make a principal’s job easier. But not every teacher who loves to teach is enthusiastic and dedicated – for the job of a childcare teacher can be both demanding and challenging!
This one-day workshop explores ways in which the school leaders can build strong connection with and engage their key partners to provide a positive working climate as well as grow the teachers through developing teacher-leadership to enhance teacher effectiveness.
Learning Objectives:The aims of the course are to help participants to:
- Understand how motivation works and know what truly matters to the teachers
- Understand the key principles of engagement and learn how to connect with the teachers more effectively to enhance their performance
- Create a climate of shared accountability through shared leadership
